裙擺Skirt Panel
The main difference between Han and Manchurian fashion is in the shorter Han robe and the absence of Chen-Yi without side opening. Thus it must be complemented by an apron skirt (picture shown). Since the robe is covering the upper portion of the skirt, nearly half of its surface area is devoid of ornamentation. Most of the embroidery is concentrated at the two larger panels in the front and back they are commonly called the “Horse Grace”.
The skirt panel is the bottom part which has embroidered dragon, Phoenix, and standing waves and therefore should belong to the spouse of a court official. The multitude of colours on every skirt was well composed and the workmanship was superb. They were all from the nineteenth century.
The skirt panel has front and rear embroidered, therefore sale in pair piece.
